Seedlings Emerge

// September 12th, 2010 // No Comments » // cantaloupe, cucumber, squash, tomato

I went out of town for two days and returned to sprouting seedlings. Tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, dill, basil, and cantaloupe all emerged. I am still waiting on the carrots, yellow onions, and scallions.

First Tomato Transplants

// September 6th, 2010 // No Comments » // tomato

It has almost been a month since I started my first batch of tomato seeds. They are doing well. On 9/5 I transplanted the strongest four seedlings to the garden. I buried the seedlings very deep with just the top showing. This should help in root production and make the plants healthier and grow quicker.

I have other seedlings left and will be giving them to family to grow in containers.
